What is Zoom In?
Zoom In is an Android app for meeting people. It is available on Google Play and runs on Android 7.0 and later.
It was first created so people could find each other on the map. You share your location, open the map, and see who is around you.
Later, we added International mode. That way you can also meet people around the world, even if they are not nearby on the map.
How does Zoom In work?
After you sign up, you choose how you want to meet people: Map or International.
Map is the original way. You share your location and use the map to see people nearby. International is the other way. You browse profiles from around the world, one by one, without looking at the map.
You can switch between Map and International whenever you want. Home also shows Zoom In Pulse, which is a heat map of activity around the world — not a list of people.
How does Map work?
In Map mode, you make friends nearby within a specific range (~500 km / ~311 miles) on the map. All you need to do is share your location and zoom in on the map.
The map has three views: Nearby, Region, and World. Nearby is the closest view. Region zooms out to a wider area. World lets you look even further.
Zoom in on the map to see people more clearly. When your location is on, other people can find you on the map too.
How does International mode work?
In International mode, you go through profiles from around the world. You can browse people one by one and connect with someone even if they are far away.
Why can't I see people on the map?
There is probably no one within range (~500 km / ~311 miles), so you cannot see people on the map. Remember that Zoom In is a new app and it is not used in many countries. Give Zoom In a little time and more people will join.
What is Zoom In Pulse?
Home shows Zoom In Pulse, a heat map of approximate activity around the world. Those lights are not individual people or exact locations.
To see profiles, open Map mode or switch to International mode.
I don't receive notifications. Why?
Turn notifications off and on again in Zoom In's settings. To do this, go to Settings, then Notifications or Push notifications, and switch it off and on once.
Also make sure Zoom In is allowed to send notifications in your phone's settings.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account in the Zoom In app. You can also send us an email and request that we delete your account.
